Action Needed Regarding Enrollment in IA Health Links

If you haven’t already, you should be seeing your IA Health Link enrollment packet very soon. The new IA Health Link program begins January 1, 2016, and will give current Iowa Medicaid members access to coverage through a managed care organization, or MCO.
Three Important Messages You Need to Know:
- EPI has signed contracts with - Amerigroup (Anthem), AmeriHealth Caritas, and United HealthCare. We can tell you we are very excited to begin working with Amerigroup (Anthem), United HealthCare, and AmeriHealth Caritas. They’ve communicated a desire to focus on the needs of their members and some flexibility.
- EPI has not reached an agreement with all MCOs. If an MCO other than Amerigroup (Anthem), AmeriHealth Caritas, and United HealthCare. becomes your MCO on January 1, 2016, they will likely assist you in finding a new service provider to deliver the services currently provided by EPI.
- December 17, 2015, is an important date. You must take action by this date if you wish to make changes to the MCO you have been assigned in your enrollment packet.
While Exceptional Persons, Inc. (EPI) does not have influence over these IA Health Link/Medicaid Modernization initiative decisions, we do want to be a resource for you.
If we can be of further assistance, please feel free to reach out to our Services Director, Susan Seehase (susan.seehase@episervice.org), or myself (chris.sparks@episervice.org) at (319) 232-6671.
